ITANAGAR, Mar 12: The All Kamle District Students’ Union (AKDSU) has drawn the attention of Director Postal Service, Itanagar towards the problems being faced by the people of Kamle district due to poor postal services and sought early upgrade of the same.
“The people of the district have to often go to Ziro and Daporijo in order to post letters, parcels and urgent official correspondences due to absence of a proper postal service in the district”, the union claimed.
In its representation to the Director Postal Service, the students’ union on Monday appealed to him to initiate early steps to upgrade the present branch post office in Raga to a sub-post office and ensure proper functioning of branch post offices- Dollungmukh, Boasimla and Muri-Mugli by posting sufficient clerical force.
It also suggested starting up mandatory correspondence and customer service facility in the area.
