DEOMALI, Mar 14: The 10th Scientific Advisory Committee of the Tirap Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) has approved the Action Plan for the financial year 2018-19 in its meeting held here on Wednesday.
Earlier, the progress report for the year 2017-18 and proposed Action Plan were presented by Senior Scientist in-charge and KVK head Dr P Dutta, along with the concerned Subject Matter Specialists (SMSs).
Presiding over the meeting, Agriculture Deputy Director P Khosia spoke on the role of KVK in technology testing, technology transfer and development of scientific temperament amongst the farmers.
He also requested the farmers to take technical guidance from the KVK scientists and put forward their suggestions to KVK for need-based intervention.
All the members of the allied departments, including BDO, DHO, SVO, JE WRD, AE PHE and DFO (Forest) of Deomali, besides farmer representatives, took part in the meeting and suggested various initiatives for inclusion in the action plan.
