ITANAGAR, Mar 24: Following a series of surprise checks on bars and restaurants in the last few days, the capital complex district administration has sealed two bars/restaurants for breaking rules and regulations.
According to a press release issued by the administration, Classic Bar and Restaurant was running beyond the permissible time and without a valid bar licence, while Oxygen bar was running beyond the permissible time.
Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan said that his administration has zero tolerance for illegal bars and restaurants, adding that the exercise will continue in order to regulate the functioning of the bars and restaurants ’till all the bars and restaurants have valid licences from the competent authority.’
The DC appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration in implementing such exercises.
The sealing operation was spearheaded by EAC (Judicial) Toko Babu, along with Itanagar SDPO K Sikom and LO to DC, Sanjiv Chakraborty. (DIPRO)
