NAHARLAGUN, Mar 26: The Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank Officers’ Association (APRBOA) and the Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank Employees’ Union (APRBEU) on Monday joined the rest of the employees of the regional rural banks (RRBs) in the country in observing a three-day nationwide strike.
Members of the APRBOA and the APRBEU sat on a dharna in front of the APRB head office here on Monday to press their various demands, which include pension parity with commercial banks; ending privatization of RRBs; implementation of compassionate appointment scheme; parity in promotion and recruitment policy; extension of computer increments; and ensuring minimum wages and regularization of daily wage/casual workers.
