India will progress when villages develop: Rijiju

SEPPA, Apr 25: The country will progress only when its villages develop, said Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju after laying the foundation for developing Kakukao village under Seppa CD block as model village under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY on April 24.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Rijiju elaborated how a village can play a crucial role for advancement of any State and briefed them about the objectives of the SAGY.
He said the NDA Government is committed to developing all villages and the SAGY is one huge step towards realizing that dream of making every village of the country a model village.
Rijiju directed the Deputy Commissioner and the Project Director (DRDA) to start working on conceptualization of a plan incorporating every need required for a model village and urged all stakeholders to work collectively.
The union minister also inaugurated seven road projects under Seppa East Assembly Constituency under PMGSY, which are Kakukao, Rang/Tagrung Yangje, Pabua/Jejudada, Sangrikwa/Rabjiwa, Mebua/Mangkhya, Tallang and Tassomora roads.
The State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu is according top priority to health, education, socio-cultural and communication sectors and working with renewed vigour for ensuring that the fruits of real development are percolated down to the grassroots level, Rijiju said.
He exhorted the Government officials and all stakeholders to work collectively for all round development of the district and in making the State as one of the best progressive States of the country.
Regarding a memorandum submitted by the villagers, Rijiju assured to pursue with all concerned for fulfillment of the demands.
He announced that the process for establishment of an Industrial Training Institute at Bana was at final stage.
Parliamentary Secretary Tapuk Taku hailed Rijiju for selecting and adopting Kakukao as Sansad Adarsh Gram and sanctioning all important road projects. He urged all concerned to work in tandem for implementation and fulfillment of the true objectives of these schemes.
Later in the day, Rijiju along with the Parliamentary Secretary Mama Natung, MLA Biyuram Wahge, East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Singh Rajawat attended Rashtriya Panchayat Diwas celebration at Kameng Hall, Seppa.
Rijiju also presided over the 1st quarter-cum-physical assessment meeting of the East Kameng District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee. He exhorted the Government to work with dedication to ensure that true benefits all schemes reaches to the doorsteps of every individual.
