ITANAGAR, May 8: The second and final year students of Computer Science and Engineering department of the Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic, Itanagar made an industrial visit to the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) here on May 8, guided by lecturer Corinna Mum Norbu.
BSNL SDE (Admin) VVSR Subrahmanyam guided and conducted three sessions during the visit.
In the first and the second sessions, JTO (OCB/BB) Md Shamimuddin Khan and JE (OCB) Ng Jilangamba demonstrated and explained the technologies involved in broadband and computer networks and landline telephone system, respectively.
The third session was on technologies involved in GSM, mobile switching centres and wireless connectivity, which was demonstrated and explained by SDE (MSC) Ramakrishna, JE (MSC) Rajib Khudrakpam and JTO (MSC) Bhaskar Jyoti Doley.
This visit helped students to familiarize themselves with real time operation, transmission and control of network and mobile communication system and also helped them to better understand the practical implementation of these technologies.
