East Siang DC advocates for job-oriented courses

PASIGHAT, May 16: East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak has advocated for starting job-oriented courses and introduction of university campuses in other parts of Arunachal Pradesh by the Apex Professional University (APU) to cater to the education needs of local community.
Addressing at the 5th annual day celebration of the APU at the Pasighat tourist lodge auditorium on 14 May, the DC said that education plays a great role in one’s life and therefore, proper education is very necessary.
Tatak also urged the students to refrain from the race of mere academic excellence and asked them to focus on life skills which would prepare them for progressive life.
The DC congratulated the university authority in particular and faculties, staff members and student community for their esteemed contributions in their field of activities.
SP Prashant Gautam felicitated the achievers and stressed on sports and other curricular activities for the students.
Chancellor Dhanwant Singh appreciated the learning environment of the university and expressed hope that it would go a long way in making Pasighat an educational hub.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr JN Das presented the progress report of the university and shared his views on developmental issues. Registrar VS Moray also spoke on the occasion.
Among others, Flight Lieutenant Neha Chaudhary (ALG) and ADC Tatdo Borang were also present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
