Governor, CM congratulate Everester Muri Linggi

ITANAGAR, May 17: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have congratulated Muri Linggi for scaling Mount Everest. Linggi achieved the feat on 14 May.
“You have proved that our Arunachali daughters are tough, courageous, adventurous, meritorious, and better than any other. Your achievement has made us proud and you have set an example for your Arunachali sisters to emulate,” the governor said in his message.
Pema also congratulated Linggi on becoming the third woman from the state to summit the Everest.
“If you are determined to fulfill your dream, circumstances or age does not matter. Forty-year-old mother of four girls, Muri Linggi, has proven this by becoming the third woman from Arunachal Pradesh to conquer Mount Everest,” the CM said in his message.
“In her effort, she also took along the prime minister’s message of ‘Beti bachao, beti padhao’. I wish her all success in her future endeavours,” he added.
The directorate of youth affairs has also congratulated Linggi.
