ITANAGAR, May 23: Chief Minister Pema Khandu exhorted those four candidates from the state, who have cracked the civil services examination conducted by UPSC this year, to not only confine to their assigned duties but go beyond to work for the betterment of the society.
“This is a true recognition of your sincere endeavour and never say die attitude, which is sure to inspire thousands of aspiring candidates from the state to seek a career in civil services. You have set an example for others to emulate,” Pema said, when three of the successful candidates Masanda Magdalin Pertin, Phurpa Tsering and Dr Ojing Dameng called on him at his office here on Wednesday.
Another successful candidate Duyu Kampu couldnot make it due to her ongoing training.
He hoped the young bureaucrats will continue to put their best foot forward and bring many more laurels to the state.
“You have the onus of serving your people and the state whenever given the opportunity,” he said.
The successful candidates were accompanied by their parents.
On the day, Cadet Sumwang Wangsa, who recently qualified for the NDA, also called on the chief minister. He is the first candidate from Tirap and Longding districts to qualify for the NDA.
Congratulating the young cadet, Pema said his achievement will definitely inspire many youths to opt for the challenging and prestigious job in the Indian Armed force.
