DIRANG, May 26: Thirty-eight farmers from Lubrang, Mandala, Barshi, Mandala Phudung, and Misopsa areas were briefed on scientific feeding, breeding, and reproductive and health management in yaks during a series of awareness camps conducted at the areas by the National Research Centre on Yak here in West Kameng district recently.
A team from the institute, led by senior scientist Dr D Medhi and scientist Dr TP Singh, informed the farmers about scientific ways of rearing yaks, and distributed basic veterinary medicines like anthemantics, antidiarrhoeas, tick-out, and such.
