The West Siang district administration has received many complaints from patients/ public against the health department in the district.
According to sources, the health staff including doctors remain absent from duty, especially during emergency hours at night. Due to non-availability of doctors and health staff during the hours of need in the general hospital, the people are facing serious problem and the situation has compelled many patients to visit other hospitals in places like Pasighat and Itanagar. Sometimes, the patients have to leave for other state too even in minor health problem in this rainy season. Health infrastructures in a hospital without manpower is meaningless and the same thing is happening in Aalo hospital.
However, taking the cognizance of people’s grievances, the West Siang Deputy Commissioner has directed the three executive magistrates to conduct routine inspection to the Aalo hospital. Hope, the health care service in the hospital will improve rapidly after the directives from the district administration.
