BOMDILA, Jun 12: The stipends of the students of West Kameng district have been disbursed through the DBT system.
The stipends were deposited in the bank accounts of the student beneficiaries, except for 41 students who did not have bank accounts, the DDO informed during a meeting chaired by the DC here on 12 June.
Around 1340 students in the district are eligible for stipends.
The DC directed the CO (HQ) to ensure Aadhaar enrollment of students who are still left out, particularly students of the residential schools in Subu, Dibbin and Shergaon.
The DC asked the principals to ask the secondary and senior secondary level students to go to the nearest facility to get themselves enrolled for Aadhaar.
He directed the DDSE to do the needful for linking students’ Aadhaar numbers with their bank accounts. (DIPRO)
