ITANAGAR, Jul 24: A delegation of the Arunachal Teachers’ Association (ATA) called on the education minister here on Monday and submitted a memorandum demanding rectification of the Integrated Scheme for School Education (ISSE)/SSA bye-laws at the earliest.
“The minister assured to discuss the matter with the CM within 2-3 days and place it before the governing body meeting,” the ATA said in a release on Tuesday.
The association said it also met Advisor to Chief Minister, Tai Tagak and Tagak assured them that he would convey their grievances to the chief minister.
The ATA says the posts below state project director (SPD) ISSE must be filled up with officers/officials “from the concerned department of education, based on seniority.”
It also opposes the existing memorandum of association of the ISSE, which it says “was taken into consideration without the prior consultation with DSE, DEE and other concern officers.”
The ATA said teachers serving across the state would resort to democratic movement on 15 August if the state government fails to meet its demand at the earliest.
