HAWAI, Jul 24: To give a push to the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and realize its objectives in the true sense, the Anjaw district administration in collaboration with the PHED, the DUDA and various other stakeholders on Tuesday launched a dedicated ‘jan andolan’ in the district.
Under this programme, a 15-day outreach programme will be carried out throughout the district to motivate and educate the people about cleanliness.
The field campaign has already started in Walla, Watong, Ngi and Chengung villages near Hawai.
The campaign in both Hawai and Hayulaing subdivision is dovetailed with field activities formulated for selection of the cleanest village of the district under the Chief Minister Award Project.
Special focus is being given to clean up the two thickly populated areas of the district – Hawai and Hayuliang – and the urban development department is collaborating in the process. (DIPRO)
