ITANAGAR, Aug 6: Inviting the governor’s attention to the condition of the CHCs in Raga and Muri-Mugli and the PHCs in Dollungmukh, Puchi-Geko and Mite in Kamle district because of absence of allopathy doctors, the All Kamle District Students’ Union on Monday requested the governor to direct the health department to post allopathy doctors at the health centres at the earliest.
In a representation to the governor, the union said that, while the health centres do not have allopathy doctors, the lone allopathy doctor who had been posted at the CHC in Muri-Mugli has been transferred without any reliever to replace him.
The governor had during his recent visit to Raga directed the authorities to post an allopathy doctor at the CHC in Raga, but no step has been initiated by the health department to address the issue, it said.
