Kaso seeks arrest of culprit(s) involved in attack on elderly couple

ITANAGAR, Sep 8: Local MLA Techi Kaso has requested the capital police to arrest the culprit(s) involved in the recent attack on an elderly couple on the outskirts of Pachin Colony near Naharlagun on Wednesday.
Extending condolences to the bereaved family of deceased Aisha Katun, Kaso said “immediate arrest of the accused will be justice for the departed soul.”
He said criminals should not be allowed to move freely in the society. “They must be arrested and put behind bars and prosecuted as per law.”
The MLA also cautioned people from taking the law into their own hands, and requested that everyone share information and help the police in nabbing the culprit(s) at the earliest.
Md Ramjan Ali and his wife Aisha Katun were attacked on Wednesday evening by unidentified attacker(s). While Ali sustained grievous injuries, his wife did not survive the attack.
The elderly couple resided in an OBT house and worked in an agriculture field around 2.5 kms away from Pachin Colony.
