CHIMPU, Sep 9: East Siang defeated Kra Daadi (1-0) and entered the semifinal in the girls’ category of the state level U-17 Subroto Cup football tournament at the SLSA football ground here on Thursday.
The lone goal for East Siang was netted by Tina Apum in the 21st minute of the match.
In other matches, East Kameng, Papum Pare and Lower Subansiri registered wins against their respective opponents and entered the semifinals.
The first semifinal will be played between East Siang and East Kameng at 9:30 am, and the second semifinal will be played between Papum Pare and Lower Subansiri at 1:30 pm at the same venue on Friday.
