ITANAGAR, Sep 24: The capital police conducted several raids in and around the township and detained three juveniles and arrested three men on Sunday evening.
The police team led by Itanagar SDPO Kamdam Sikom, under the supervision of Capital SP M Harsha Vardhan, recovered a large number of gambling materials, including 23 dices.
The SP said a case under Section 188 IPC and the Arunachal Gambling Prohibition Act has been registered at the Itanagar police station.
He said the capital police have already cracked down on gambling in weekly markets.
“More such action will continue. Citizens are requested to refrain from such illegal activities or be ready to face legal action as per law,” the SP said.
