In-service teachers’ trg underway

ITANAGAR, Oct 1: A training programme for in-service teachers of government schools of the capital complex began at the ALS IAS Centre here on Monday.
The programme is organised by the capital complex district administration in collaboration with Avanti Fellows and ALS IAS, Itanagar.
Attending the event, Education Secretary Madhu Rani Teotia stressed on the importance of participating in such training. She stressed on timely completion of the syllabus and urged the teachers to make extra effort to ensure that every student is provided with quality education.
Teotia also urged them to regularly monitor the students’ performance, and stressed on conducting parent-teacher meetings.
Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan in his address said the administration has adopted various measures, including training programmes, “as new revolutions in the education sector are required to improve the overall educational scenario.”
He stressed on “maximum output using minimum resources,” and said the training programme, which would be held through VSAT, was an example of this philosophy.
SCERT Joint Director Moto Nyori described teaching as one of the noblest jobs, and advised the teachers to do justice to their role.
Currently, 48 maths teachers and 48 science teachers are undergoing training at the ALS. (DIPRO)
