‘State needs air connectivity’

In a press release, GAF chairman Takam Tatung appealed to the state government to “pursue the matter with the central government till its fulfillment.”
A GAF team had called on the then President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi in April last year and apprised him of the urgent need of establishing airports in Arunachal, besides stressing on early construction of the greenfield airport at Hollongi, the release said.
The GAF expressed hope that the foundation stone for the Hollongi airport would be laid by December this year as promised by Prasad.
