‘Post doctors at CHC’

ITANAGAR, Oct 9: The Siyum Nacho Limeking Taksing Border Area Intellectual Forum in a representation to the health minister on Tuesday demanded early posting of a doctor at the community health centre (CHC) in Nacho.
The CHC in Nacho is in a dilapidated state and does not have a regular doctor to attend to the patients, the forum stated in its representation.
“As per the guidelines of the Indian Public Health Standard, a CHC is a health centre next to a district hospital and it is entitled to have at least eight medical officers, including specialist and medical superintendent. However, the CHC in Nacho has been functioning without a regular doctor for the last six years,” it claimed, and sought immediate transfer of a medical officer to the CHC.
