YAZALI, Oct 16: The 16th Yachuli constituency badminton tournament 2018 organized by the Yazali Badminton Association was held here at the multi-purpose hall from 10 to 12October.
Local businessman Chukhu Tajo, who attended the inaugural function, lauded the organizers for promoting games and sports in the area. He also urged the youths to take up sporting activities and not to indulge in drug and alcohol abuse.
Further, he announced incentives of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 for the winners and runners up, respectively, of both singles and doubles category.
Further, he also announced a cash prize of Rs 25,000 for the team champions.
Toko Taje won the singles title defeating Taw Butu. In the doubles final NL Tugu and Tawa Butu defeated Inya Ete and Toko Chada in the final. Congress leader Taba Appa, who attended the final of the tournament, handed over the trophies and cash awards to the winners.
