HU conducts symposium on ‘role of Niti Ayog in Indian Economy’

JOLLANG, Oct 24: The Department of Economics of the Himalayan University (HU) conducted a symposium on ‘Role of Niti Aayaog in Indian Economy’ at the university premises, here on Wednesday.
HU Registrar, Dr Vivek Mittal said that the Government of India constituted the NITI Aayog to replace the Planning Commission in order to serve the needs and aspirations of the people of India in a better away.
“NITI Aayog acts as the essential platform to bring states together to act in national interest, and thereby fosters cooperative federalism,” Mittal added.
Professor Dr Lijum Nochi of the Rajiv Gandhi University was the key note speaker of the symposium. He was felicitated by Dr Mittal and HU Director Dagjum Bagra on the occasion.
