PASIGHAT, Nov 5: An open art exhibition was organized by Pasighat-based institute Mureng at Komolighat, on the right bank of the Siang river here in East Siang district, on Saturday.
The daylong exhibition was aimed at exploring the hidden young talents in fields like fine arts, painting, photography, poem writing, recitation, folk music, etc.
Member of Parliament Ninong Ering attended the programme, and said he was highly impressed. He encouraged the organizers to continue its efforts, and assured all possible help in conducting such productive activities.
MLA Kaling Moyong expressed hope that the event would go a long way in nurturing young talents. Tourism Secretary Sadhana Deori, retired IAF officer Mohonto Pangging and medical officer Dr Kaling Jerang also attended the programme.
Earlier, founder of Mureng, Omili Borang, highlighted the aims and objectives of her institute, which has been involved in various activities to develop human resources.
