Town planning essential for future: Murtem

RAGA, Nov 5: Members of the district town planning committee (DTPC) and MLA Tamar Murtem inspected the proposed site for the mini-secretariat and other infrastructure in Yada in Kamle district on Sunday.
During discussions with stakeholders, the MLA said town planning was essential for the future of the district.
“We are fortunate to have a vast area in Yada to plan and develop a beautiful headquarters. Let us all work in unison and without any bias to create a well-planned district headquarters,” Murtem said, seeking the people’s cooperation.
Members of the Raga Area Employees Welfare Association (RAEWA) emphasized on proper road and water connectivity to the district, and to prioritize it within the district headquarters.
They also requested for banning construction of any permanent structures till the planning and layout of the town model are complete.
Issues like shortage of officers and officials, absence of officers posted at Raga, etc, were also taken up during the discussions.
The DTPC members and the MLA were accompanied by RAEWA members, senior citizens, DC Moki Loyi, EAC Mobia Tai and the DLRSO. (DIPRO)
