ITANAGAR, Nov 6: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Deepavali.
In his message, the governor said Deepavali “inspires us all to move from darkness to light and from poverty to prosperity,” and expressed hope that the festivities would motivate all to pledge to promote fraternity and eradicate illiteracy, poverty, discrimination and malice, and fight against corruption, nepotism and ill-will.”
The CM in his message expressed hope that Deepawali would usher in a future of lights and hope for the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
“This Diwali, let’s all light up our lives with bright ideas, innovative steps and brotherly feeling for all,” he said.
Both the governor and the CM appealed to the people to celebrate the festival while avoiding noise-making crackers and air pollution. (Raj Bhavan and CMO)
