ITANAGAR, Nov 12: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have mourned the demise of union parliamentary affairs minister Ananth Kumar, who passed away in Bengaluru on Monday morning, after a long battle with lung cancer.
Mishra in his condolence message said the nation lost a grassroots leader, a distinguished public figure and a social worker in Kumar’s demise.
The governor conveyed condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the people of the state, and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
The CM said Kumar would be remembered as a people’s leader, a veteran parliamentarian, and a supreme organiser. He also offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the peace of the departed soul. (Raj Bhavan and CMO)
