ITANAGAR, Nov 23: The Arunachal Pradesh Anti-Corruption Association has sought cancellation of the order for the transfer of the panchayati raj (PR) director, claiming that frequent transfer and posting of PR directors have hampered developmental activities of the department.
The association in a press release on Friday questioned why APCS officers are transferred within two to four months “without valid reasons” and involving unnecessary financial expenditure.
Urging the state government to retain the present PR director for at least three years, “as per government norms,” it said it would otherwise launch a democratic movement.
