NYAPIN, Nov 25: The Zone 4 qualifying round of the 27th Tadar Tang State Level Football Championship began here in Kurung Kumey district on Sunday.
The zone comprises Kurung Kumey, Lower Subansiri, Kra Daadi, Upper Subansiri and Kamle districts.
The inaugural match, which was played between last year’s runner-up Lower Subansiri and Kurung Kumey, ended in a goalless draw.
Upper Subansiri defeated Kra Daadi 1-0 in the second match of the day.
Tania Nibe scored the lone goal of the match in the 25th minute.
