TAWANG, Nov 26: In the run-up to the 10th Tawang Maitree Divas scheduled to be held from 28 November, the army’s Tawang brigade, the district administration and NGO Yuva Arunachal jointly organised the annual mini-marathon from the Tawang monastery to the war memorial here on Monday.
Covering a distance of 5 kms, the run was flagged off by MLA Tsering Tashi and Tawang garrison commander, Brig Zubin Bhatnagar.
Over 400 runners of all ages and genders participated in the junior, senior and veterans categories.
The main two-day celebration of Maitree Divas will be inaugurated by Governor BD Mishra and the event’s chief patron, Chief Minister Pema Khandu. (DIPRO)
