When the APPSC and the Department of Personnel are not able to conduct interview for the mere dozen or more posts of APCS (EG) through both APPSCCE and walk-in-interview through Lateral Entry meant for serving Government employees, it is only a matter of speculation whether the ambitious Staff Selection Board (SSB) so established by the state Government would be able to do justice to the thousands of genuine candidates of the state, which would involve recruitment of hundreds of staffs annually from 40 odd different Government departments.
Because the Government is yet to take concrete steps for filling up of even 5 unfilled posts of 5 APCS (EG) through Lateral Entry that are remaining as backlog for more than 3 years, forget about subsequent vacant posts that arose in more than 4 years. Such lethargic attitude on the part of the Government leads to slow pace of progress in the development starved State.
