Training on forestry field work concludes

ITANAGAR, Dec 1: The three-month internship training programme for BSc Forestry students concluded at the Dr Verrier Elwin hall of the State Forest Research Institute, here in Papum Pare district on Friday.
Five different colleges, attached at State Forest Research Institute, Department of Environment & Forests participated in the training.
Out of the 43 trainees enrolled, 41 have been awarded certificates with forestry field working experience and hands-on training on forestry based industries.
During the programme, Environment & Climate Change PCCF AK Shukla spoke on the various scopes for employment and forestbased enterprise activities, and advised the forestry graduating trainees to continue with the profession.
Several officials of the Forest department and entrepreneurs also gave their inputs on forestry-based careers.
