YAZALI, Dec 2: A workshop was conducted on Saturday here at Multipurpose Hall by Nyedar Namlo to commemorate the Indigenous Faith day. Dolma Wangjom Thongchi, Circle Officer, Yazali, Rita Raj Principal, VKV Yazali , Bengia Tolum , President, NES/AITF, Nyirmin Likha, President, IFCSAP, Capital Complex participated in the workshop as resource persons.
The resource persons exhorted the youths to maintain indigenous faith claiming that without it preservation of tribal culture is not possible. Earlier, hundreds of indigenous faith believers of the area participated in a procession from NEEPCO ground at 43km to Yazali General Ground where Tago Taso, President , IFCSAP, Lower Subansiri Dist Unit hoisted the Flag. Traditional dances were performed by the students of VKV, Yazali. Also, the Assamese community of the area mesmerized the gathering with Bihu dance.
