Apex Bank employees donate a day’s salary to CM’s relief fund

ITANAGAR, Dec 3: All employees of the Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank have donated their one day’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as a goodwill gesture.
A delegation of the bank, led by RWD, IPR, Printing and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bamang Felix called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu at his office here on Monday afternoon, and handed over the cheque bearing Rs 1,37,822.
The Apex Bank employees also thanked the chief minister for sanctioning the head office building at Naharlagun.
“It was during his father, late Dorjee Khandu’s time, that the sick Apex Bank could be retrieved and it is during his term that the bank is getting a new head office building,” they said of the chief minister.
During the course of discussion, the employees pleaded to the chief minister to park government funds meant for development, salary and students’ stipend in the state owned Cooperative Apex bank so that it could maximize business transaction.
The chief minister assured them that the matters will be looked into in due course of time.
