NIRJULI, Dec 19: Over 200 youths registered to receive training in various trades as part of a ‘skill development sensitization, motivation and trainees selection rally’ which was held at Nyikum Niya Hall here on Wednesday.
The rally was held under the Chief Minister’s Yuva Kaushal Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) by the Yupia-based Industrial Training Institute (ITI), in collaboration with the Papum Pare district administration, to sensitize youths to skill development schemes and training.
“The mission is for all unemployed youths to upgrade their skills or get skill training in trades such as electrical, plumbing, aviation, hospitality, healthcare, etc,” Industries Joint Director K Sharma told the participants.
He stressed on dignity of labour, stating that all occupations, whether involving intellectual or physical labour, deserve equal respect and dignity.
“No job should be considered superior or inferior. Every job that is done with honesty and sincerity deserves appreciation,” he said.
State engagement officer Masot Zimik from the National Skill Development Corporation urged the youths of the state to avail the benefits of the programme, which is being sponsored by the state’s skill development & entrepreneurship department.
Zimik also elaborated the Skill India Mission, including the PMKVY.
ITI Principal T Raksap and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Assistant Director J Riba also spoke.
Ten skill training providers from different parts of Arunachal and other states have joined the programme. (DIPRO)
