PARSHURAM KUND, Dec 21: Preparatory activities related to the organizing of Parshuram Kund Mela – 2019 were reviewed during a meeting chaired by Lohit DC Karma Lekia here on Friday.
The festival is organized every year on 14 January, on the occasion of Makar Sangkranti.
The DC sought coordination among all the stakeholders to ensure smooth conduct of the annual event, while SP DW Thongon gave assurance that all the aspects of law and order would be taken care of during the festival.
Matters such as traffic control, overall management of pilgrims’ inflow, prohibition of sale of liquor and non-veg food, etc, were discussed during the meeting.
Chowkham MLA CT Mein, HoDs and members of the Parshuram Kund Seva Samiti also attended it.
