Training for district level master trainers begins

ITANAGAR, Jan 9: The training of district level master trainers (DLMT) on different topics for conduct of general election 2019 was rolled out by the chief electoral office, here on Wednesday.
In his inaugural address, Arunachal Pradesh CEO Kaling Tayeng said that proper training is important for good and efficient management of elections. He exhorted all to attend the training with utmost sincerity to ensure free, fair and hassle-free polls in the state.
“Since the officials and polling party at the districts would be further trained by the DLMTs, the performance at ground zero would depend on how well we train our teams,” he said and stressed on the importance of duties of the DLMTs in election management.
The training will be given by state-level master trainers to DLMTs on EVM-VVAPT, counting and declaration of results, nomination process, ERO net and polling station rationalization, polling party and poll day arrangements, model code of conduct, election expenditure monitoring and media, ETPBS & postal ballot, IT applications and election and security planning in the three day training programme scheduled simultaneously at two locations – Namsai and Itanagar -for officers of Eastern and Western Arunachal Pradesh respectively.
At Namsai, Namsai DEO Tapashya Raghav emphasised on the need for proper training of election officials so that no mistakes are made on the ground.
A total of 138 officers from districts are attending the training at Itanagar, while 72 officers are attending a similar programme at Namsai.
