AALO, Jan 9: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan on Tuesday held a meeting to review the preparations for the Yomgo River Festival.
The meeting reviewed all initial preparations, like construction of bridge over the Yomgo River, gathering of materials, construction of pandals, toilets, exhibition stalls, etc.
The DC laid emphasis on speeding up all works on time in a coordinated manner.
District Tourism officer Rita Yorung, Superintendent of Police, DFO and Aalo Town People’sDevelopment and Welfare Society (ATPDWS) members gave useful inputs and informed about the progress of work on the riverside.
The three-day event will be held from 1st to 3rd February and is being organized by the Aalo Town Development and Welfare Society under the aegis of the ATPDWS. (DIPRO)
