DIGP Kaming, Norbu awarded President’s Police Medal

ITANAGAR, Jan 25: Two senior police officers of the state, Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGP) Kime Kaming and Prem Norbu Khrimey, have been awarded this year’s President’s Police Medal for their distinguished service.
The medals will be presented on Republic Day, the home ministry informed.
Kaming, an AGMUT cadre (2003) officer, had joined the Arunachal Police Service in 1992, and was inducted into the Indian Police Service in 2011. He is currently posted as DIG at the police headquarters here.
Besides serving for long in the state, Kaming has been posted in places like Delhi, and also led IRbn battalions on election duties in states like Jharkhand and Odisha. During his stint with Delhi Police, he was appointed as the first DCP of the Special Police Unit for Northeast People in 2014.
He also served as additional commissioner of police (traffic), and oversaw several important events, like the ASEAN summit, Republic Day celebration, etc, in Delhi.
