When system fails

Dear Editor,
My heartfelt congratulations to all the candidates who successfully qualified for APPCS, A.E (civil) interview. The announcement of the most awaited result was indeed a bittersweet for many aspirants including me. Sweet because my friend got qualified for it and bitter I could not. My friend and I had started our journey for APPCS at same year, same day and in same room though we are from different educational backgrounds.
My dream was to become an administrator. And his ambition was to become an engineer. Hence, i put my forth best of the best to succeed my dream but what happened on 9th November 2018 at Kingcup school was truly terrible and the most unfortunate day of my life.
Today, after hearing the result of A.E (civil) mains exam, I could literally feel and hear the famous lines about ‘human behaviour’ in the 3 diots movie “It feels bad when a friend fails, but it feels ever worse when the friend come first”.
The exact feelings i am going through right now.
However, being a civil service aspirant, I still have faith on humanity.
Thus, I believe in commission and the present government for taking positive steps for the aggrieved aspirants like me. Taking the exam shall be the right of every mains qualifier. Our rights should not be undermined because of the system’s failure.
Sincerely,
Serious aspirant
