ITANAGAR, Jun 25: The 10-day combined annual training camp of NCC cadets at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic College here concluded on Tuesday with a grand cultural programme presented by the cadets.
Commissioner to Governor, RP Upadhyay, commended the “national spirit and discipline displayed by the cadets during the event,” and urged them to be more participative and imbibe discipline and ambition to become secular citizens of the country.
He exhorted the cadets to exercise “utmost caution” while downloading information from the internet, saying: “It is most important to sieve correct and relevant information than to fall prey to negative or unwanted information.”
Upadhyay also suggested to the cadets to take part in community development programmes.
Ten Navy cadets along with staffers from Delhi also visited the camp and interacted with the cadets of Arunachal Pradesh.
The camp commandant, Col RK Sharma, lauded the “conduct and keenness of the cadets to learn during the camp.”
During the camp, the cadets underwent various forms of training, such as firing, drills, physical training and self-defence training, and received classroom lectures.
Disaster relief management demonstration and firefighting demonstration were also presented by experts in the field.
