Army assures to support education & welfare

WAKRO, Jul 5: The 82 Mountain Brigade Commander, Brigadier Robi Kapoor assured the students of the Apna Vidya Bhavan and the Anu Shiksha Seva Trust (ASSET) that the Lohit Brigade will always be there to support the cause of education and welfare in the region.
Addressing teachers, students and staff, the commander said that “education is complete only if it grooms learners to grow as responsible citizens and inculcates values of selfless service towards the society.”
Expressing gratitude, the ASSET also announced to support education of two children in need of care.
“Both students will be identified and considered for free education under the Beena Ghose Roy Scheme, honouring commander Brig Robi Kapoor,” the AASET said.
It also thanked Col Venkata Baba and Maj Rakesh Manchanda for supporting the noble cause.
Also speaking on the occasion, Swami Sri Sri Madhavananda appreciated the Indian Army and the Commander for helping out the community.
The event was also attended by Inspector Thomas Pertin and educators of the area.
