LONGDING, Jul 14: The PHE&WS division here, in collaboration with the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Alumni Association Longding and the Wancho Cultural Society, conducted a plantation drive at the VKV girls’ school here in Longding district on Sunday as part of Swachh Mahotsav-2019.
Also participating in the plantation drive, teachers and students of the Niausa VKV planted about 150 saplings.
District consultant Chonai Wangpan spoke on the importance of Swachh Mahotsav, open defecation-free status and sustainability, which was followed by a talk on the role and importance of the VKV’s alumni association.
