ITANAGAR, Jul 15: In a representation to the director general of police (DGP) here on Monday, one Charu Giania claimed that no action has been initiated over the FIR which he had lodged on 1 February, 2018, with the SIC (vigilance) superintendent of police, seeking investigation into alleged irregularities in awarding of contract works under the SPA scheme during 2011-12 by the Deomali electrical division in Tirap district.
Giania requested the DGP to direct the appropriate authority to register an appropriate criminal case against the alleged erring officials.
“I have lodged an FIR before the SIC (vigilance) SP for taking necessary investigation and registration of case against the erring officials who were connected with the aforesaid works. However, despite lodging of the FIR on 1/2/2018 and the SP duly receiving it on 5/2/2018, no action has been initiated even after 16 months,” Giania claimed.
