Dear Editor,
I would like to vent my frustration and disappointment over the recent advertisement by the RGU for recruitment of assistant professors. It is seen that most of the seats have been reserved for SCs, OBCs, and EWCs while there are very few ST seats.
It is a lone central university in the state and the university has always failed to recruit the tribals of this particular state.
I would also like to bring to your kind attention the shortage of teaching faculties in many departments, such as geography, tribal studies, history, and zoology, but not a single post has been addressed for us.
I wonder why the AAPSU and the RGU Scholars’ Association are mum on the issue.
I therefore request the vice chancellor and the registrar of the university to address the issue.
