Stamp design competition on Mahatma Gandhi held

KHONSA, Aug 13: The postal department here in Tirap district conducted a ‘stamp design painting competition’ for students of Khonsa town last Sunday.
Mahatma Gandhi was the basic theme of the competition, vis-à-vis non-violence, the Quit India Movement, religious tolerance, and the Dandi march.
The competition was divided into three categories: Class 6-8, Class 9-12, and an open category for college students and non-students.
Addressing the participants, Khonsa Post Office Sub-Postmaster Chowang Wangsa commended their positive response, and thanked the research department and the staff of the postal department for their support in conducting the competition.
All the painting submissions will be sent to the postal services directorate in Itanagar, and a panel of judges will choose the best three from all three categories. (DIPRO)
