Status of schemes’ implementation reviewed

SEPPA, Aug 19: The East Kameng district level executive committee meeting to review the physical and financial status of schemes, and to prepare the 2019-20 annual action plan under the CM’s Samast Shiksha Yojana (CMSSY), was chaired by DC Gaurav Singh Rajawat here on Monday.
After enquiring about the progress of the works under the scheme, the DC directed the departments concerned to complete all pending works, as per the DPRs, by 15 September.
He also directed the education department to regularly submit utilization certificates of the works undertaken.
Stressing on quality of work, the DC suggested “stage-wise geotagging of all works, from commencement to completion.”
He also suggested obtaining a “non-duplicity certificate” from the authority concerned prior to
conceptualization of any proposal. The DC advised the education department to incorporate requirement of furniture and boards for additional classrooms, besides electrification and water supply connectivity, while preparing its DPR.
Inviting suggestions to improve the quality of education in the district, Rajawat enquired about the installation of CCTV cameras and biometric attendance system in the schools, and exhorted the teachers to ensure timely completion of syllabi.
The proposals to be taken up under the CMSSY in this financial year were finalized during the meeting.
DRDA PD Dahey Sangno and DDSE Kata Rangmo presented briefs on the status of the works undertaken in the district under the CMSSY since 2018.
