RONO HILLS, Aug 21: A workshop on role of community radio in youth and community development was organized by the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development’s regional centre in Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi University, here from 19 to 21 August.
Prof Jayadev Sahoo of the RGU spoke on the relevance of radio as medium of communication in dissemination of information not only in rural areas, but also in the towns and cities.
A total of 32 participants, including NSS Programme officers of various school and colleges, NYK functionaries and representative from various NGOs attended the programme.
Among others, RGNIYD Regional Coordinator Kottu Sekhar and Head of the Department of Physical Education (RGU) Anil Mili also spoke.
