Lhagyala Gonpa: a hidden paradise

Dear Editor,
I wish to draw the attention of people towards Lhagyala Gonpa, one of the oldest monasteries in Asia which is situated at Morshing village in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a place where Khandro Drowa Zangmo was born. The monastery was constructed by Kachen Lama during 7th century. Recently, the region has been blessed with the reincarnation of 10th Lhagyala Rinpochhe Tenzin Wangchen. The monastery has got very rich and fascinating history to tell and, apart from that, it offers picturesque beauty of mesmerizing hilly mountains and Morshing, Sanglem, Domkho located in the valley thereby making it an out of the world experience for visitors. The distance is approximately 60 kilometres and takes around one and half hour from the district headquarter, Bomdila.
Therefore, I, as a denizen of the Morshing village where the monastery is situated, would urge people to come and explore this unexplored monastery along with the beautiful villages.
Sincerely,
Tenzing Norbu
