KIMIN, Sep 30: The Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology (APSCS&T) has during its Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) meeting held here on Saturday last, reviewed the progress of ongoing Biotechnology project in the DBT-APSCS&T Centre, Kimin and suggested that there should be convergence between the needs of the society and research to be carried out in the Bioresource Centre towards the sustainable development of the state.
The expert committee comprising of Advisor, Department of Biotechnology GoI, Dr.Mohamad Aslam, ACSIR, Gaziabad director Dr.R.S.Sangwan, former director, ICAR, New Delhi Dr.J.L. Karihaloo, Director, LVPEL, Hyderbad Dr.S. Shivaji had deliberated with the Project Director, Dr.Debajit Mahanta and the team of scientists.
Earlier, APSCS&T former chairman Bamang Mangha appraised the PMC about the initiation of the project and the progress made so far. He also informed about the GoAP’s assurance to support the projects in letter and spirit.
APSCS&T, director-cum-member secretary C.D Mungyak also spoke on the occasion.
